Terms and conditions. By entering this competition you agree to the following terms and conditions. The competition is run by Greenpeace New Zealand, Inc., of 113 Valley Road Mt Eden , Auckland and is organized by Vanessa Atkinson, climate campaigner. This competition is intended to raise awareness about climate change and clean energy. The winners will be determined on 11 December at 11am , at the Greenpeace office at the above address. The first prize is one Synergex solar water heater (302LK) valued at $5,498 and 50% of the installation costs up to $2,000. The second prize is a ‘Giant Boulder' mountain bike valued at $500. The third prize is Solio solar-powered universal "hybrid" charger for hand-held electrical appliances valued at $200. There is no cost of entry. The number of entries in the draw will depend on how many people enter. People gain one entry in the draw by filling in their contact details on the Big Switch website and committing to switching to clean energy (or having already made the clean energy switch at some point after 1 st November 2005). For each person that they invite, who then enters the draw, they gain one extra entry into the draw. To collect the prize you must have switched to an electricity company either from the Red category to the Orange or Green, or from the Orange category to the Green. Switching within the same colour category does not constitute 'switching to clean energy' for the purposes of this competition, and therefore does not qualify you for the prize. You must provide your last electricity bill from your old supplier and your first electricity bill from your new supplier. You must have made the switch after 1 November 2005 , ie. Your first electricity bill from your new supplier must be dated after 1 November 2005 . Greenpeace encourages anyone switching their electricity company to do so in accordance with their contracts. Any charges incurred should be paid. Greenpeace does not encourage people to not pay their electricity bills. This competition is not open to Greenpeace employees. The decision by Greenpeace is final and no correspondence will be entered into. www.CleanEnergyGuide.org.nz |
